The Revolver (specifically a double-action .44 Magnum) is a secondary weapon available in Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter HD Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn. It is also a weapon in Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter.
Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter HD and Reborn Edit
The Revolver is a very loud weapon, and will scare away herbivores or attract hungry carnivores. It has an exceptionally fast rate of fire, and can fire off 6 shots before having to reload. It is also very lightweight and mobile, making it a nice personal defense weapon. The Revolver is the last piece of equipment available to buy, and costs 200 gems to use.
Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Edit
A similar revolver also makes an appearance in Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter. Unlike the revolver from the HD and Reborn version, this revolver has a five shot capacity, with a total ammo count of ten and a fairly staggering cost of 500 credits. The revolver can dish out considerable damage (rivaling the X-bow) at short to medium range, though its accuracy suffers at greater ranges. Its damage, coupled with a fairly admirable fire rate, makes the revolver excellent at eliminating charging predators, similar to its HD and Reborn counterpart.
Interestingly, the revolver is the only weapon in Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter to have muzzle flash, and one of only two weapons (the other being the DB Shotgun) that reloads before its total ammo supply is completely expended. The gun also rivals the DB Shotgun in noise, scaring away creatures that are quite a distance away. This is dangerous when hunting the Tyrannosaurus, as it will aggro on the player if it hears a single gunshot.
