"Delphaeus Hills" (misspelled "Delapheus Hills in Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter HD) is a large coniferious forest and the first and smallest area in Carnivores 2, Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter, and Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter HD . As to be expected from the first available hunting area it is the cheapest, costing only twenty "points" in Carnivores 2 and Dinosaur Hunter, but costs nothing in Dinosaur Hunter HD.
Despite being a very basic island, "Delphaeus Hills" does have some notable landmarks.
In the southwest corner of the island is a large swamp contained inside a deep valley. At one point in the main entry way, a fallen log horizontally overhangs the entrance, providing a spot that makes it easy to shoot down trapped herbivores and very hard for carnivorous dinosaurs to reach the hunter (a.k.a. "safe zone"). Even if the swamp is in a big hole, allosaurus and velociraptor can jump up if the hunter is too close.
On the southernmost center of the island are the hills the island was named for. A thick fog rolls through the hills, making good cover for dangerous dinosaurs.
Slightly north of the center of the island is a deep, inescapable crack-like chasm plagued by a reddish fog. It is a good place to ambush herbivores or trap carnivores.
Directly east of the swamp across the river is an arch-like rock formation. Larger dinosaurs usually can't pass.
Abandoned archaeology outpost Edit
- Main article: Archaeology outpost
In the northern center of the island, a little north of the chasm, is an abandoned archaeology outpost. The perimeter is surrounded by a long wall made out of what may be stone. The large wall has partially collapsed in areas allowing vegetation to grow on it, as well as allowing animals to enter the outpost. The northernmost part of the outpost is guarded by a huge building crowned with a large sattelite dish. Inside the camp are several trenches and crates covered with strange symbols, as well as a derelict, partially flooded bunker. Unfortunately for the hunter, carnivores can push themselves through the walls or use the doorway to enter, meaning this bunker is not a safe zone.
Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter HDEdit
"Delphaeus Hills" returns in Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter HD as the first area available to hunt. In this iteration, the area bears almost no resemblance to its PC counterpart. The crates from the PC version are still there, but otherwise the area is unrecognizable. Like the other two locations, "Delphaeus Hills" is available to hunt in day, dusk, and fog times, with different dinosaurs available depending on the time.

The "Shooting Range" is located on one of the smaller islands surrounding "Delphaeus Hills".
